The Story

The CAN terminating resistor is used to terminate the can bus on FRC robots.

  • To wire a CAN bus, connect a yellow signal wire to the CAN terminal marked "H" on the NI roboRIO and connect a green signal wire to the CAN terminal marked "L" on the NI roboRIO. To connect additional components, connect additional green to green wires and yellow to yellow wires. After all of the components have been wired, there will be two remaining signal wires. These two wires must be connected to each other with this resister inbetween to terminate the CAN bus
